Board Certified American College of Sports Medicine Board Certified Ergonomist / Human Factors Professional Board Certified Athletic Trainer Certified Six Sigma Black Belt What does a Board-Certified Human Factors Professional and Ergonomist know about Customer Experience? As a Human Factors Professional, I am constantly looking at how people interact with machines, devices, and environments. We focus on implementing systems to reduce errors. We look for where errors in interactions are likely to occur, how to make decisions easier, how to reduce error and each of these is related to how people view their customer experience. As a Six Sigma Blackbelt, I focus on the data and how it can be interpreted or used to make products or systems better while improving the quality of products and services. These simple human factors events occur in every industry and environment from product/service development to product/service implementation. On the ergonomics side of the profession we are involved in improving the fit, feel, and function of everything from clothing, consumer products, and employee and customer workflows. I hold a Masters of Organizational Management and an Education degree. What I have learned is that people can make or break your business. I have been the CEO of my own companies since I was 19. I currently own and operate six businesses with two of these being in Australia. I have been a consultant in my areas of professional expertise for over twenty-five years and have worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies over those years learning about effective systems, customer expectations, and building long-term customer relationships. As an entrepreneur, I have developed and sold numerous Software as a Service products, numerous online educational certification programs and have continued to train and mentor students globally over the last twenty-five years. I am also a peer-reviewed author. |
