Sam Harper is the Director of Energy for Gerdau Steel. In this capacity, he leads the team responsible for contracting energy, regulatory affairs and demand response activities to support steel recycling facilities throughout North America.

Previously, Sam held the position of Sourcing Manager of Electricity for ArcelorMittal Steel, responsible for electricity market and regulatory activities for steel-making facilities throughout the United States. Sam also held roles in Systems & Technology and Procurement.

Sam attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
